"You took me. I had no choice."
An amused voice sounded in response. "I did not take you. I saved you, the last living kind of your species. You should be proud".
"Proud?" The male hissed disdainfully, eyes locked onto the feminine figure that leaned casually against a twisted trunk. He opened his mouth to respond before she interjected.
"It has been about twelve thousand years Azken. Get over yourself." She replied dismissively, inspecting the fies that landed on her hand. The small creatures mutated before her eyes, their thoraxes burst causing them to fall from her skin and join the ground to be later decomposed. The name was newly assigned. She called him last. She called all of them last in one dialect or another.
He eyed her, frustration at her antics crossing his face as she needlessly wasted life. "I am not wasting life" She spoke as if sensing his thoughts. "I am seeing which ones survive. Which is none of them. They are not worthy to-"
"Add to your collection" He snarled. "You certainly add a lot to the very thing that could kill you. All I have to do is-" Her eyes darkened and she strode toward him, lowly muttering words he could not understand. Her accent seemed to shift with every syllable she uttered. The undergrowth at her feet writhed as she stepped towards him, the plants twisting violently as if to free themselves from their roots that anchored them to the ground. Instinctually he felt his lips rise to bare his teeth, unnatural and abnormal for the human face in which he bore. The only attribute betraying his humanity was the predatory amber eyes accompanied by dilated pupils that challenged the oncoming goddess.
"My collection can change. Don't forget how easily you can be removed Saber."
