Okay ....I don't know if anyone actually reads these, but I needed to post about it somewhere. I was reading a book the other day, and the main character was quite creative in coming up with replacement words for cussing. It was highly entertaining and enjoyable the way the author phrased things to be honest. But one "replacement" phrase kinda struck me as interesting. "Bacon Brownies"! 
          
          
          My initial knee-jerk reaction was, "Eww!" But then I stopped and thought about it a bit more....and I realized that it might not actually be bad....it might even be (dare I say it!?) good! I had tried maple bacon donuts awhile ago, and they were delicious. The mix of savory meat and sweetness was awesome. So I wondered, could brownies work the same? And the chocolate or fudge might even round out the flavors even better!
          
          I knew I would need a third flavor profile to balance things a bit more, and was even trying to track down some maple flavored baking chips for awhile....but none could be found in time. So I went with a combination of caramel and butterscotch chips instead. I used a chewy fudge brownie mix as the base. And I chopped up some pre-cooked apple wood smoked bacon strips to add to it. And honestly? The brownies turned out amazing!!! OMG!!!! Probably one of my new favorite recipes!!!
          
          I did use paper cupcake cups and a cupcake tin to bake them in, cooked them at the recommended temp, but for a bit longer. In our oven it took about 40min at 325. Only warning, if you use the paper cups, and store them in the fridge, let them return to close to room temp before trying to peel the cups off. They will tear. Lol. But if you are eating them right away, that shouldn't be an issue. Lol.
          
          The individual cups make pretty good individual serving sizes, and the whole brownie turns out like a middle piece....if you prefer those, like I do, then this is the way to go!

          Sorry for the long absence and lack of progress in my stories! I have had a LOT of things going on in my personal life lately, and have not had the time, energy, or mental capacity to work on them. Things ARE finally starting to ease up again recently, however, so I hope to get back to work finishing up Loki's Pain. After that story is complete I will begin working on the other stories again, but I plan to focus on a different one every couple of months. This will allow me to finish up more chapters each time, but also give me some breathing room on the breaks to refresh. Hopefully this will help keep me focused, ...as counterproductive as that might sound! Lol! So wish me luck guys/gals/pals!!

Hello everyone. Yes, I'm still breathing. I am still writing, obviously, (since I did just post something new) but am taking things really slowly. My life is still completely hectic as I am start-and-stop with my moving. Every few weeks something new seems to pop up as an obstacle, so things grind to a halt. Next month is going to be a major hurdle, since that was the original deadline to get out and I am trying my best to stick to it. Even if I don't get all my stuff out, I want to get myself and my essentials shifted over. Thank the gods, most of that is finally done. Luckily my former SO has been pretty understanding of the delays. This has been pretty rough on the both of us though, since we do still care about each other a lot and tend to slip back into old habits.
          
          Just so you all know:
          
          I AM going to come back to this full-time once I get re-established. It is just taking WAY longer to get it all done than I thought it would. With way more mental and emotional anguish involved than I had expected. So....my apologies.
          
          As for this newest story, it is a nice stress relief. The world is already established, as well as some of the back story. I don't have to introduce half the characters, only justify how someone might act out of character, so it is fun to play with it. Though I couldn't resist adding in Ashley. He's been percolating in the back of my mind for awhile, just waiting for a good story to "poof" into. Lol. This is my first-ever fan-fiction though. Hopefully I do the story justice. If not, feel free to rip me a new one in the comments!! Lol.

Ok, update time. 
          I am still writing. I am working on the next chapter of Starfall right now, but it is slow going and will still take a bit longer sorry.
          
          Since this delay has been far longer than I expected I feel I owe you an explanation. I have some long running mental issues I am working thru, a severe anxiety disorder being only one of them.That, combined with some relationship issues and the panic around Covid 19, I wasn't able to cope and needed that initial hiatus to get balanced again. 
          
          This was working fairly well and I planned to get back to work, when the relationship side of things went belly up. My relationship of roughly 10 years is now over completely and I am in the process of organizing my things in preparation of moving back in with relatives. This was not a hostile break up, and honestly has been coming for awhile now, but it still hurts. 
          
          Sometimes love just isn't enough to overcome every obstacle. Unfortunate, but true.
          
          
          I hope you will all understand and not be too upset at the delays. Once I get resettled with relatives both physically and mentally, I promise I will be getting right back to work and publishing my chapters again. So please don't lose hope, I WILL be back. Lol.
          
          P.S. I have released some of my old poems for your enjoyment in the meantime. And I plan to add a few more to them over the next couple of days. Lol

Hey guys, sorry for the sudden radio silence.
          
          I really am trying to get back to work, I have just had some really major personal issues to deal with. My partner, of several years, and I have decided to split up for good. It is mutual, though painful, but at least it is amicable. So I have been trying to figure out the logistics of moving out among many other issues. This, combined with the stress of the pandemic and my already overtaxed mental health, has not been easy. But I am still here, and still determined to get back to writing, I just don't know how quickly I will be able to get my chapters out for now. So they will be a bit random, and sometimes take awhile....my most profound apologies.
          
          I am still working on the Starfall chapter, and am about halfway done with it. So I'm hoping to have that one out soon. It might be a bit longer due to some story progression though...lol. 
          
          My apologies once more to anyone who has been waiting for my next chapters. I will get to them when I can. Thank you for your understanding. I hope you are all having a wonderful day!!

Hey there. Sorry guys. I have been trying to get back to my stories, and have started on the next chapter of Starfall, but I guess I wasn't as ready as I thought I was. I will continue to write when I can, and post it when completed, but I can not guarantee how soon they will show up.
          
          I am dealing with a lot of personal issues at the moment, that I will not go into detail about here. But I do want to keep writing, I just need to slow my pace a bit.           I am going to be working on Dragon Falls and Starfall. Lol. After that will be A Vision, a Truth before going back to Memoirs, since I updated the newest chapter of that yesterday! Yay! Lol.

Ok. Im back from hiatus. I think I'm ready to jump back in. I might still take a bit more time between chapter releases occasionally, but will try to maintain my former schedule as much as I can. The next chapter of Memoirs of a Forgotten God has been posted, but I am still deciding which book to work on next. I will update here again when I decide. Lol.
