Thanks for adding THE VISITOR to your reading list. It is my first attempt at a female lead character inspired after writing MINDSLIP.
          
          THE VISITOR tells the story of a dynamic woman astronaut who finds something unexpected in low-Earth orbit. It goes on to change her life and the world.
          
          The first section is very hard SF with a lot of science and descriptive scenes featuring the ISS. It then develops into a science approach to understanding the alien device and finishes with international politics.
