@Bugaboo_Topaz The human brain is crazy. I was just going about my day today, and every so often, I'd just remember something about Margot. So I think I've recovered a lot of her backstory and personality. I made a Google Doc so we don't lose it again. Let me know if anything should be changed, and sorry for making it so long. Happy belated Thanksgiving to all the Americans and happy holiday season to everyone else! This is your monthly post from me for proof of life, and I can happily say that I'm still up and kicking (maybe not for much longer because exam season is upon us and I'm also registered to take the MCAT very very soon...). Emotionally, my heart is STILL in the world of Gotham and Batman; my Ao3 history has never been more active. Anyway, no new writing updates from me (but I SWEAR one day i'll just drop everything and vomit ten thousand words out to the world). Have an amazing day, and as as my molecular cell bio professor says at the end of each class: be good.

I start off every semester thinking I can do my work days (and weeks) in advance so that I can write on the side, and every semester, I learn so very quickly how wrong I am. It doesn't help that I'm currently on one of my "Ao3 highs" and have not exited that website in like three months. My attention span is shot. I can feel my grades suffering from it. 
          
          All that to say, I am still alive and kicking with many an idea for Tim Drake specific stories. Now that the ideas are flowing, I just need the freaking discipline (and time) to sit down and do it. (I haven't forgotten about the three unfinished works just sitting on this profile; I swear they'll be finished one day.)

The fall semester started today, so updates will unfortunately be a lot slower from me starting now… 
          
          P.S. I’m also still in the Batfamily trenches and didn’t go to bed til 1:30am last night reading the most tragic and traumatic Dick Grayson fic ever — it was well over 200k words and im still not done with the series, currently reading Jason’s POV of it and it’s equally angsty. 
          
          P.P.S. If anyone has good Batfamily fics, send them my way. Could be anything. I’ll even read crossovers (which I almost never do) because Dark Matter (the Peter Parker in Gotham fic) was actually lowkey good and I want more of it. 
          
          P.P.P.S. I really want to write a Batfamily story.

@Ahsoka-2Sabers I just searched it up!! There’s actually multiple fics with that name with Dick in it, but I think I know which one you’re talking about and the mere summary of it is breaking my heart lmao. Will defo check it out soon! 
            
            I was writing a Batfamily meets Justice League one shot the other week because I’d gone down a rabbit hole reading that tag on Ao3 and it’s honestly so hilarious, but idk if I’m finishing it any time soon. I do have some other ideas in mind though for Batfam fics, so hopefully I’ll get around to it sometime soon.

Y'ALL. In case you don't remember, I was writing a Harry Potter fanfiction back in 2022 and only got halfway through before I stopped. I just spent the last two-ish hours rereading, and I was lowkey cooking with this? I am shocked how good the writing is, which should say something because I'm usually just hating on my style lmao. I cannot believe I didn't finish this and will 100% be actively working on it again. Don't count on updates for awhile though... I might try to get ahead a little. 
          
          (Funny thing is, I do actually have the next chapter done. I just never got around to posting it. It's made even more funny because this next chapter is the big reveal. I remember being so excited posting this twist and then I never did). 
          
          ANYWAYS, this is your cue to read (or reread?) Leah Reeves and the Sea of Secrets. It's about a woman who escapes Azkaban with Sirius Black after being falsely imprisoned for the murder of her family. The angst is real. The feels are feeling. <3

While I read (and sometimes write) in a lot of fandoms, I've never considered myself IN a fandom, with the exception of Tolkien (and maybe Ranger's Apprentice, once upon a time). Sure, I'll like something enough to the point of reading and writing fanfics, but the only piece of media that I think I was (am) completely and truly obsessed with was LOTR. 
          
          That is, until Batman (& Robin) came into the picture. I have no idea what brought this on because I've known about Batman since probably forever. But in the past three and a half weeks, I've fallen deep in the Batfamily trenches. Bruce Wayne. Dick Grayson. Barbara Gordon. Jason Todd. Tim Drake. Stephanie Brown. Damian Wayne. Cassandra Cain. Alfred Pennyworth. They're all my babies now.  There's a gold mine of Batfam fics on Ao3 that has definitely not kept me up til 4am for several nights these past weeks.
          
          Yeah, this post was just my announcement that I think I'm in too deep (not that I want to be pulled out). Also my excuse as to why there was no Thermo chapter last week--- because I was too engrossed in reading Batman fanfiction. That being said, I think (keyword: think) that there may be a chapter tomorrow. 
          
          Thanks for coming to my TED Talk. Just needed to scream my love for Batman + family to the world.

@Ahsoka-2Sabers I have 100% read it!! So sad it’s on hiatus rn though… When I got to S3, it was such whiplash because of the tone shift but I really liked the long form story instead of the shorts. Even if it was mostly angst and not fluff anymore. I think one of my favorite things about it (besides the way Bruce is a good dad in it and they actually have good relationships with one another) is Tim continuously being kidnapped by the same group of amateurs and Jason having to rescue him. 10/10, it’s hilarious.

Bat Family is so good because it’s mostly fanon and you get to pick and choose what happens and the aspects of their personalities you like. Have you read the Wayne Family Adventures Webtoon? I live for the weekly updates.
