I often say that the reason I hardly write is due to laziness. Not writer's block, not lack of ideas (because I have a TON), but that's not entirely true.
I second guess myself.
If you've been one of my followers for a while you'll know that I focus on making things original and breaking the mold of fanfiction. Literally my three published stories (don't count the borderlands one, that was my first work and it sucks) are completely different from the rest.
The problem I have with that is I always go "But will this be fun to read?". A little spoiler, but the next chapter of my Owl House story will have a different ending than the show. Not going to say what it is, but it's different than canon.
Anyways, the problem I always face is overthinking about overthinking. Is this interesting? Will the readers enjoy it? Am I fucking up by making too many references to real life events? Am I using too many of the same words?
I like making my stories as original as they possibly can, but that comes at the cost of my mind double guessing itself and then telling me "You can think about that later", but later never comes.
And when I do get to writing, my mind goes "I got new ideas that are better. Rewrite this part. Oop, you also have to rewrite a previous section at the start of this chapter, but that means you have to tie any loose strings connecting to it. But don't worry, you can do that some other time." and it's the same thing all over again.
@Pink_Jester oof, I know the feeling man. I may not be writing as much as I used to, since im trying to get my life in order, but that does happen to me quite often
Going back to what I said yesterday and a few days ago about hardly getting any updates? Yeah, I am fucking miserable. Woke up to 50+ story updates, all of which, and I mean ALL of them, some variation of "Bad news", "Announcement" and "We need to talk"
Guess what they were all about? The same fucking discontinued joke as every single year, MY GOD, I am so tired of this. And it really reflects the average writer. Unoriginal and boring April Fools "prank" and unoriginal and boring stories.
But wait, there's more! Some of them are for stories that haven't gotten updated in a YEAR, and they have the balls to go "ahah, I gotchu, it's just a prank bro, I gave you false hope. I'm not updating this story but it's not discontinued"
I seriously hate this, quote on quote, "holiday"
Can't wait for all the "I am discontinuing this story" jokes tomorrow. I totally haven't heard them a thousand times before, and I am totally not absolutely sick of them. Ahaha... so funny.
On that note, if you haven't updated your story in over three months, you don't get to make that joke because you're just being an ass to the people who have been waiting for a chapter, only to get slapped in the face with your shit.
I'm gonna make a chapter just a crack experience that's plot is purposefully dosent make sense but somehow ties into the story of the book. I already have a character on constant drugs
@Inverse_El_Shaddai Autistic reader stories are some of the worst, most boring pieces of crap I can find here. You read one, you read them all, that's how similar they are. They don't know what an autistic person is like, and I can bet if you ask any author who makes those stories, they'll tell you they're autistic. Like, bitch, that's not being autistic, that's just being an imbecile who thinks he's funny
@Pink_Jester I'm gonna snitch, 2 off the top of my head are JackDroid and the newer one on the block, Blackmega2004. They're also the guys who "Getsuga Tenshou's" or "Rasengon's" the SHIT out the "autistic" trait, which btw just boils down to a main character with the emotions and mental fortitude of a primary school kid with the powers of *Insert Busted/Overpowered Abilities Here*.

@Pink_Jester I ain't exactly fluent in terms of the lore, but I just used the DND book to look for making the character. I recommend picking a Faction you know
@Mephiles1 Apparently it needs to be "lore accurate", but I'm too busy with exams to learn all that convoluted crossover lore in a short span of time

Now that I can ride a Ghast in minecraft without mods, I have a reason to make a minecraft story... eventually, once I update the ones you ave all been waiting eons for.
The next step is making a cooking update, because I want to make a grilled cheese in the funni block gaem
@Dynamo0006 They will likely make the ghast saddle have more colors, but it'd be cool if the glasses could be removed or changed, like tinted glasses
@ Pink_Jester Want the ghasts to have some mechanic like the carpet on llamas, because if i'm being honest i don't really like the glasses
