my mom took me to a doctors appointment, and in the waiting room there were kid’s picture books along  with the magazines, and my mum being the fun librarian she was, picked up a picture book and read it to me as a joke. when she finished she asked “should a read another one?” i said no and then she said “yeah, you’re probably getting too old for that stuff, huh?” no mother i just dont want to regress during a doctor’s appointment
