HI. I have returned #-#
I didn't think people still read Freezing Wings. I hadn't opened up Wattpad in literal years, and I had shoved it into the corner of my works that were never going to see the light of day again. I had given up on it. To be quite honest, I thought no one read it anymore, and me even opening up the website was a coincidence. However, I happened to take a look at its stats, and was pleasantly surprised that to this day, there is still an average of 2-3 people reading it every day. I was astounded, to say the least.
As we all know, during 2019, my mother faced a series of health crises which made me put a pause on writing Freezing Wings which was never lifted. Since then, she has unfortunately passed from natural causes. My grief journey was one mired in tears and bittersweet memories, but one that I believe I am on the upside of.
In the years since, I have transferred schools, adopted a dog, and graduated high school. I was recently accepted into college, and am most likely going to major in creative writing. These past couple months have been one of transition, and I thought it prudent to return to my roots, and to at least give Sasha a cohesive story and a happy ending.
Although I will try my best to give a fanfiction that is worth the wait, I doubt that I will be able to make up for four years of radio silence, and I sincerely apologize for that fact.
The last thing that will keep me from updating the story immediately, beyond rewriting chunks of it to reflect a cohesive plot, is that I want to read the published version of Upon Wings of Change. I have had the physical copy sitting on my shelves for three years, and haven't had the gumption to actually read it. And so, I plan to tackle it in the coming days.
Once again, I want to thank you all for your patience and continued support. If it weren't for all of you I would have abandoned this story long ago.
I wish you all the best, and I hope you have a great day :)
