Tamara Hickman is an old married person with four kids, three cats, and a dog. She struggles to balance writing and teaching in the public education system, and one day dreams of writing for herself on a full-time schedule.  

She has written several short stories, has self-published one book with the next of the series in the works, and sometimes dabbles in fan-fiction to escape writer's block. 

Most of the time that doesn't work, though.
