Hi, I saw your profile picture and then it made me wonder if you were a fan of Gone With the Wind. I absolutely love that movie and book. It's not every day that you meet another young person who likes old movies. :)

That's pretty cool! I'd have to say I'm a mixture of both. The Great Gatsby is kind of my favorite for now, as well as the Anne Shirley series and To Kill A Mockingbird.  Damn, it's been forever since I've seen any older movies...I'd have to say Harvey and Charly (even though Charly isn't that old)  are two of my personal favorites. As far as recommendations, I'm really not sure... Moon Over Manifest is pretty good, and so is Out Of The Silent Planet by C.S. Lewis, though it's pretty weird.

@Norah1015 I watched Gone With the Wind for the first time when I was 14, I am now 16, and I absolutely adored it! Some of my favorite classic movies are That Hamilton Woman, Storm in a Teacup, My Fair Lady, Roman Holiday, and basically any foreign movie. I love classic books as well, such as Jane Eyre, Moby Dick, The Scarlet letter, anything Shakespeare, pretty much anything in that realm of books, you know? Do you have any favorite classic books, or are you more of a modern day book person, or a mixture of both? Do you have any book/author recommendations? :)

oh my god yes! I watched the movie back in March and I absolutely loved it! I have yet to read the book tho. And I have to agree, it's great to finally meet someone who knows some classics
