@SwiftiePoet13 HELPPPPPPPPPPPPP I have to tutor someone in precalc who is FOUR YEARS OLDER THAN ME and I'm so scareddddd T-T I agreed to tutor them before I knew they were a senior :((( So since you're a tutor, have you ever tutored someone a lot older than you, and am I just being dramatic or is it actually weird... because I've only ever tutored people around my age or younger ALSO this dude's mom originally asked my math teacher for a tutor and she recommended me, but apparently didn't tell this lady that I literally just turned 14 a week ago!!! bc she asked abt me driving somewhere ... so do you think she would be unhappy abt how old I am? and would the dude I'm tutoring be unhappy also... bc I feel like that would be super weird and awkward sorry for the rant but I'm really scared T-T my friend who knows who this dude is said he's one of those bearded seniors who looks like a grown man :(

@PjoHpKotlcfangirl so, it might be a bit tricky for you to do this with a senior as a fourteen year old, but just be personable. take the edge off by addressing the elephant in the room: the awkwardness. the fact you're probably four years younger than him. but then address your authority. no, don't be bossy. but make sure that he knows you're actually serious about the work you're doing, and chances are he'll be more serious about the work you're both doing. i'm sure he'll feel like it isn't important to learn from a freshman, so prove wrong any preconceived notions he might have. ok, now, if he's hot and charming (i've never had to deal with this)---then all bets are out of the window and there's no point and trying to stay composed and calm. at that point, if he's attractive, just run screaming, crying, and throwing up! :)

@PjoHpKotlcfangirl omg thank you on the congratulations---honestly, a lot of this depends on how comfortable you gauge the student feels. but always prioritize your feelings, if you sincerely don't want to do this, then don't. that said, i don't think a teacher would recommend you if they didn't think you were capable. you got this!! i've never tutored anyone that much older than me...i've tutored two college aged students in general ed stuff, but they were freshman and like only a year and a half older than me so nothing drastic. my thoughts would be: you can't tutor someone you're not completely comfortable with, so if you're too occupied with how awkward it is to convey the information clearly, then there's no point and i would just drop him. (also bearded seniors are just...eugh) i tutor like 15-20 students throughout the semesters, i don't usually get new ones in the spring but sometimes i do - most of them are a freshman and sophomores though. also, i don't tutor in math TT except one student I'm working on algebra ii with him but that's in conjunction with his chemistry so yeah. i never turn down a student without an orientation type meeting first (i hate diving in thinking a kid is one level when they're actually doing worse or better than i've been told). so start the first session easy. get to know him, gauge where he's at in the subject---i've learned, especially with kids and underclassmen, that they don't care how much you know until they know how much you care. and by showing them how much you care, you relate to them, ask how their day was, and then ease into the work. when i tutor elementary and middle grades, it's harder for me to relate, but the majority of my students are high school so i like to treat it as a one-to-one study group with a close friend and i end up enjoying it (depends the student though).

Hey! I just wanted to let you know that whenever Snowfall is done (the plot is massive and barely has started with 40k+ words already and 460 reads) I have two things I want to do. Write an acknowledgement, of course. But what I really want to share (this pertains more to you) is that there will be a portfolio of all the fanfics/one-shots of my characters and especially FAN ART and I have a few other drawings from other people. I've gotten their permission (they've gotten a similar message) to promote their art in the official Snowfalls Portfolio, but I just wanted to ask if you'd be alright with me sharing your wonderful art in "The Portfolio" right next to the acknowledgements. I'm sure it won't be soon in the foreseeable future, but within the next few months to a year, the book should be done! Again, thank you for the support and I hope I get to share your gorgeous artwork! Bye.
