Writing, as an art form, is just so fascinating to me. We use words to create an artwork that can be interpreted differently to each individual who reads it. Each person who read the same piece of literature can have a completly different image in their mind that only they can see. A picture may tell a thousand words, but a well written passage can paint a million pictures.
Comparing novels to short stories and poems is interesting too. Most people would think that writing a novel would be the hardest but that isnt entirely true. The best poets and authors can tell a deep, captivating story with only a few words. Novels, indeed, give you the freedom to go into great detail about the story you are telling, but poem use only a few amount of words to express powerful emotions and meanings, and I think thats just beautiful.
Being able to show so much in just a few powerful words more than just simple scribbles of letters on a page, it's a form of expression. Its more than just art, it's a masterpiece.
