Hi,l love reading your book 'Rise of a queen' . I had a suggestion that don't marry Nikolai and Taya immediately. In (spoiler alert) Rule of Wolves, Nikolai gives the throne to Zoya and she becomes the queen. So to follow the books, you can say that Taya has to handle the family business and wants to explore the world and ... then you can connect soc also. After soc she goes back to Ravka and helps ruling the kingdom. Then like that she get the throne.

@ tiaraziel23 Thank you for the feedback! Im actually writing the story with a specific end in mind (it's even already written!). I wish I could say more, but I don't wanna give spoilers! All I can say is that I love the ending of rule of wolves, as I think that it makes sense
