Hey chat! I know it's been a while, so I wanted to go ahead and give y'all some updates, as well as explain why I've been gone for a while. In this message, I'll address the following:
1. Why I've been gone
2. The Mikasa story
3. The Satsuki story
4. New story I'm working on
Okay so first & foremost, I'm really sorry about the lack of updates. Long story short: depression, previously undiagnosed ADHD, hectic life updates, and just a general lack of motivation to write. Wattpad's just been pretty far from my mind for a while now. But I am really sorry about the lack of updates and for leaving y'all hanging for so long.
2. Admittedly, I'm in a weird place with this one. I started writing it over 3.5 years ago, and my enthusiasm for Attack on Titan has waned, to say the least. As such, I've had a shit ton of writer's block regarding that story because I just don't have the same passion for it as I did back then. But I also don't want to abandon it either. I still have setups in that story which I wanna pay off, and ik that story gets a lot of love so I feel like I owe it to y'all to see that one through. But I also don't wanna just power through it and churn out something mediocre. So I think my plan for now is to keep working on my mental health and see if inspiration strikes. Hopefully as my mood improves, I'll regain that spark for AoT and I can write something I feel good about. And if nothing else, I am trying out a different approach to writing with the new story I'm working on, which theoretically should help minimize burnout. So if that works out, maybe I can apply it to the Mikasa story and have a better time writing it.
3. Lowkey unsure about this one. I don't even really remember what I was cooking with it atp, but I do know I wanna write a proper Satsuki story at some point. I think she's kinda just hard to write for early on, and I'd rather let inspiration strike rather than try and churn something unsatisfying. So that one's on hiatus for now, sadly.

4. Regarding that 3rd point though, if it was mainly the Kill La Kill x Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance premise you were interested in seeing, I do have some good news. One thing I have felt inspired to write recently is a proper remake of the first Ryuko story. As y'all know, that one was my first story, and looking back on it it's... rough to put it lightly. It had some cool ideas, but I do think my writing has improved a lot since then, and since I still love both of those properties I've felt a lot of inspiration to properly reimagine that story but with better writing. So yeah, I've been working on that for a couple weeks now. Given my track record with hiatuses, I wanted to try out a new approach to writing where I draft several chapters at once, then go back and revise them until I feel satisfied with them (whereas previously I would just hammer out chapters then impulse-publish them). So chapters for that may not release until later this week, but at the very least I'm taking steps to minimize the possibility of me yet again going on hiatus when it does start to drop. So yeah, for any fans of that concept, stay tuned.
