Poetry has no true purpose except to gain the hearts and minds of those who are exposed to it. It has the power to break hearts, and build minds. It can change the mindset of generations or just one person for a lifetime. Poetry can spark a revolution or calm the tides of personal war. Or it can give one young woman a creative outlet for her poetic soul, while simultaneously feeding the repressed souls of those who also read it.
