I was reasonably old (in my 40's) when I posted my first story.  It scared the daylights out of me to post what I had written and let others see it.  Believe me I know what it's like.  Well I only have 48 or so here so...  Good night and keep reading.  
            
            As a side note, when I come across good stories I'll recommend it to any I can.  If you come across ones you like let me know.  I'll take a look and if I like it, I'll suggest them to my followers.

Call it being older...  I would say old but people tend to grumble at me.  I should have said ex-wife but it still hurt.  My son lost part of a leg and part of a hand when he stepped on the IED in Afghanistan.  He was infantry for which I was very proud of him.  My two girls were in the military.  My oldest Army and my youngest Navy.  So proud but was so scared.
            
            Look at it this way, I really started writing back in the mid 90's but didn't actually publish anything until about 2010 or so.  Since then I've been considered medically disabled which gives me a great deal of time to write.  (grin)  Can you say 7-10 word pages a day when I'm on a roll?
            
            Just keep trying and going.  It's what I've been told and what I've told others.  Sometimes I bounce between stories to keep my creativity going.
