Honestly, I have a love-hate relationship at the same time with MD x UK fanfics.
on the one hand the love is that they are very well written and they are not a bad option for people who want to start writing.
On the other hand the hate is that they are not that difficult to write since they are mostly based on the 4 peaks of these crossovers which are when oil runs white, a machine guide to divinity, blood brothers on copper-9 and obviously when the oil runs red.
Those 4 fanfics are the ones that inspire the rest and there would be nothing wrong with them, if it weren't for the fact that it's almost always the same but with slight changes. I'm not saying they're bad in the least, but for god's sake, could they change that the reason V1 starts to get involved is because the terminal was stolen?
The main problem I see is that, the events are often repeated and do not have interesting twists that make them stand out from what has already been written in others.
That is why even though fanfics like Blood and Oil and The Supreme Solver I don't really think they are too much, I respect them because even though they are still the same crossover, they are stories that know how to differentiate themselves from the rest and create their own events, interactions and narratives beyond those already established.
With this I reiterate, I am not against being inspired by popular fanfics but I am saying that they should try to differentiate themselves more from these and do their own things that make the stories more unique and interesting.
