So something for if you make it all the way to arc 5 if the Yamato is in play by then it’s very likely Regulus would be absolutely terrified of it since the Yamato has been shown to be capable of slicing through dimensions meaning the Greed Archbishop’s invincibility could be negated. It works that way in Witch May Cry at least.

So for your story an interesting idea is what V later gains as a nickname in Lugunica once he establishes himself since every big character does have a nickname. For instance Julius is referred to as the Finest of Knights, Felix is referred to as the Blue, and Wilhelm is called the Sword Demon. In Witch May Cry, Dante eventually earns the nickname Red Joker during the time skip in between arcs 4 and 5. For V I could see him gaining the epithet “The Black Poet” but ultimately it’s up to you.

Hm, I could see that as a neat nickname for him. Also, you made a good point about Rem and Ram's suspicion in that other comment. Will definitely keep that in mind.

V and Rem come to an understanding:

Rem: “V you saved my life when you could’ve abandoned me, why? I hated you, I wanted to kill you so why!?”

V sighs as he walks towards Rem and gently puts a hand on her shoulder.

V: “Because we are more alike than you think. I look to you and your sister and I wonder what could’ve been on that fateful night if my mother had saved both me and my brother. Would we be as close as you and your sister? I do not know, but I do know the pain of losing all you hold dear. For the longest time I was lost, I sought power so that I would never feel helpless again and for a time I was vindicated. But eventually I was made to feel powerless time and time again. In my grief, in my need to gain more power I turned the only remaining family I had against me.”

Rem is silently shocked by this.

V: “It’s ironic that only after separating the parts of myself that I once considered weak that I came to recognize the value of my humanity. So if you will not value yourself then allow others to value you perhaps then you can see that you are more than your sister’s replacement.”

While I'm not sure if it'll go quite like this in the story, I do like this scenario you did. I've also been enjoying Witch May Cry. Keep it up.

I believe it’s stated somewhere that Vergil doesn’t actually age or at the very least has very potent longevity. With Dante aging because he chooses to do so. In theory Vergil could look the same as he does at 18 despite being in his forties.
