I love to read and one of my favourite quotes are "the one who reads,live a thousand lives". For me, truer words do not exist. We learn from each character that we follow through the pages of a story and one page at a time they grow on us until you find yourself thinking of them as a friend. And in a way they are? They have given you comfort when you needed an escape from your world. They have made you appreciate your world when theirs are falling apart. They have made you laugh, made you cry, inspired you, made you see things through their eyes. But most of all - they made you FEEL. They made you feel something and at the end of the day, that is what we long for the most - for something or someone to take the numbness away and remind ourselves that we are human - that we are alive.
