Let me tell you the story of the girl that never learned how to live outside the dark.

She spent her whole life tucked in a corner, headphones blasting guitar riffs and drum solos so loudly her teeth would shake and her head would pound. She'd sit there, with arms like steel bands across her chest and fingertips dug so deeply in flesh that she'd have permanently tattooed bruises on her biceps; all just to keep everything inside, she may have not had much, but she'd had a flame that wouldn't burn out, no matter how hard she tried.

She was the girl with so much anger in her, that she was going to choke on it. She was suffocating and it terrified her.

But that just made her angrier.

Because sometimes, it was easier to burn yourself alive than to drown in your own fear.

So, she sat there, alone; burning, suffocating, and slowly losing her goddamned mind.
