I just found out my automatic defense for an intruder is to pinch any flesh I can access. I learned this glorious peace of info because my house is spooky, and I share a room with my brother. When I go to the restroom, I leave the bedroom door open so if a night crawler tries to get me, I'll have a clear path to my bedroom. Well, I did the usual, and as I was entering my room, my brother's figure materialized and I instinctively grabbed his chest and clenched my nails down. We both chuckled and then I thought about it and nearly died of laughter. When he got back, he said it hurt so bad he wanted to go bye bye. Anyways, it was almost 2am, and we both laughed loud, not a great look. Anyway gn folks

"Shhh," Liala said as small cracking noises came from the nest below. " She’s hatching.." Alex shifted nervously. The last time their egg hatched, a vole ran in and... well.. the rest was horrible. A small talon burst through the eggshell. Liala made a small gasp as a wing burst through, too. Then a big purple eye peered up at them.
"Oh wow," Alex said, sighing.
"She's a real beauty," Liala pulled the hatchling out the rest of the way and handing her to Alex. The hatchling chirped and blinked with its big purple eyes.
"Let's name her SkyFlyer," Alex said in a soft voice.
Liala added, brushing her talon over the hatchling’s head “Sky for short.”. Alex nodded and handed Sky over to Liala. They had rescued Sky's egg from being tossed off of a mountain. They may have been Seawings, But they thought it would be right to give Sky a Nightwing name. They wanted to raise her the best way possible, even if they weren't the same species.
