"Would you mind explaining to me what I just got you out of jail for?" Quinn asks, pushing her glasses back up. She does not look like she's in the mood for jokes.
"I robbed a convenience store," Zachary answers casually, gazing up at the sky.
"What?!" Quinn exclaims, her cheeks turning red as everyone begins to stare at the two due to her sudden outburst. The smaller of the two does not seem to realize the gravity of the situation. Quinn takes a deep breath.
"What are you, stupid? Why would you rob a convenience store? You're not short on cash."
"I didn't steal money," Zachary replies. Quinn raises an eyebrow, befuddled by her friends response.
"What else would you steal?" Quinn questions.
"Bread," Zachary answers, sounding strangely proud of their self. Quinn stares at them blankly for a moment before hitting them on the back of their head with an open palm, "dumb@ss..." She mumbles.
"Ow! What was that for, Quincy?" Zachary whines.
"You robbed a convenience store for bread? Why didn't you just buy it like a normal person?" Quinn asks with an annoyed glance at her small companion.
"Have you seen how much bread costs nowadays? There was no way I was going to pay that much, it would be a crime!" Zachary exclaims dramatically, looking up into Quinn's hazel eyes. Quinn sighs, her disdain prevalent.
"I'm done," Quinn says, speed walking away from Zachary.
"Wait— no! Quincy, come back!" Zachary shouts, pretending to sniffle as they scurry after their taller counterpart.
