Dr. Rowan Carter is InGen’s most valuable—and most heavily classified—behavioural specialist, assigned to the company’s most dangerous asset: a female Tyrannosaurus rex known as R-01. Brilliant, composed, and unnervingly calm under pressure, Rowan built her career studying apex predator cognition, believing dinosaurs were capable of far more than instinct.
That belief led her to Isla Sorna, where she was unknowingly sent to uncover the remains of Project Resonance—a buried InGen experiment centered around dinosaur communication, inherited memory, and human compatibility. What began as a routine research mission spiraled into horror after Rowan survived a juvenile rex encounter that should have killed her. Instead of attacking, the animal recognized her.
After that, dinosaurs across the island began behaving differently around her—watching her, following her, refusing to harm her. During a catastrophic storm that triggered a full containment breach, Rowan disappeared into the Sorna jungle while dozens of dinosaurs followed behind her in eerie silence. She resurfaced hours later alone, unharmed, and unable—or unwilling—to fully explain what happened inside a hidden abandoned laboratory deep within the island.
Since returning, medical scans have shown abnormal neural activity and synchronized biological responses between Rowan and apex predators. Most notably, R-01 displays unusual attachment behaviors toward her and becomes violently unstable when she is removed.
InGen insists she’s their greatest behavioral asset.
Their private files suggest something far worse:
the dinosaurs don’t obey Rowan Carter.
They remember her.
// not my dumb brain forgetting her last name halfway through writing this so I had to rewrite it again ;-; \\
