Me: "I don't think the PS4/5 ports of BO1/2 are worth the price. DLC isn't even included, the games aren't running at a higher resolution (the textures are upscaled, but it's not as noticable as it would be if the resolution was up to 1440p at least), multiplayer is still peer to peer—and hardly worked in my experience, and the PS5 version of BO2 takes up almost 50 GBs. I feel like a backwards compatible version like Xbox would've been better instead of having to buy it again for slightly better textures."
          
          My roommate: "So you hate the developers and don't want them to get paid?? Nobody plays in 4K anyway! Everybody has PS+ and it's discounted for PS+ members! Stop complaining!"
          
          And he wonders why I want to move out. Mind you, I was vibing in the kitchen when he came in whining because "wahh, people on the internet are complaining about a mediocre port!"
          
          And that's what I think they are. They don't take advantage of any PS4/5 advancements, don't improve on anything besides textures (and it's hardly an improvement), BO1 outright REMOVED features, etc. I'm glad they exist, but $40 for a texture pack is hilarious at best.

          Feels nice that most of my OCs have stayed, even if they're different in ML. Although I do imagine the "we're from the future meme!" And Fayn is just a mirror because he has hardly changed. Still the awkward outsider with an Aussie accent. 
          
          And then Orelia was created and wrecked everything because she's my favorite character now next to Arno lmao.

Hey everyone, just doing a checkpoint for this year, since we're halfway through. Somehow. 
          
          I've taken great strides with my health, particularly my mental health. I'm developing healthy habits and it's getting better! Even people at work have noticed my improvements! 
          
          However, I've noticed a problem. I don't know if it's a perspective thing now that I'm doing better, but my roommate seems to have gotten a lot worse, and I can't wrap my head around it. He's become much colder and uncaring this year. And to be honest, much more of a prick. He's always had a bit of an attitude, but this year has been particularly bad. Anytime I come home from work, it's never "work go well?" or "how was your day?" No, it's instead "I roasted some idiot on the internet!" or "So some dumbass on the internet..." 
          
          It doesn't help that if I play a game he doesn't like, he'll bitch about it. I like World of Warships legends. He doesn't. Anytime I boot it up, I'll always hear a "yOu aNd yOuR sTuPiD bOaTs!" Which he probably thinks is just a joke, but it doesn't feel like it after the 900th damn time. And mind you, I'm not allowed to make ANY jokes if he plays a game I don't like. I'M always the problem, not the game! 
          
          Tl;dr: I've greatly improved this year. My roommate has been a prick.

          *Me, who has over 45 hours in the game and has my nose shoved in a guide, following it step by step and treating it like I'm in school again.*
          
          And then I play it again and—surprise!—I feel like shit!

Lancelot: "So let me get this straight... You want to start a coup d'etat with me and give Jupiter its independence, I'm following that correctly?"
          
          Arno: "Yep."
          
          Lancelot: "Okay. And you want to ally with the Pact SPECIFICALLY because you have a crush on a captain?"
          
          Arno: "I don't have a crush, Lady Lancelot. For clarification: I am down HORRENDOUS. Like I will BARK if I see her nearby! Betray my country? Nah, I'm just loyal to her from the start! I don't think you can comprehend the feelings I have for her! I want her to beat my ass-"
          
          Orelia: "WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS!? WE'RE LITERALLY ENEMIES IN THIS WAR!"
          
          Lancelot: "How tf did you get to Jupiter?"

My roommate has no concept of "I've been doing something a certain way for six fucking years and work an almost full-time job that is well-known for adverse mental health effects, trying to learn a different way of doing things isn't as simple as flipping a switch."

MFers be like "I have a hot take" and say the most vanilla shit. Try being a COD Zombies fan who dislikes BO3 and would rather play Vanguard unironically. Hell, in my opinion, BO3 has by far the worst movement in the franchise. I don't care about maps when moving across them feels like I'm trudging through a swamp! And slide canceling is for people without an attention span. "Nothing is happening, I must Y Y! I'M NOT SEEING ENOUGH MOVEMENT!" 
          
          
          
          
          Or try being a Sonic fan who doesn't glaze Frontiers. Like seriously, I wish I knew what y'all saw in that game. It looks like every other generic open world game. For what? A blatantly unfinished combat system that pretends to have a parry system that literally has you float in the air like an idiot? "Aura"? An uninteresting story with cardboard cutouts for characters? Look, Sage's entire character is "my dad is Eggman. Care about me despite the fact I have the personality of a boulder." and everyone else is just "I'm sad and you could replace my model and not have to change the dialogue because it's that generic!" And then there's the stupid Chao retcon so that this story can pretend it has something going for it... It's a 5/10 and I'm jealous of anyone who likes it. Because I feel like I'm missing out on an epic party! 

Had a lady in my line at work call me Sonic because I run everywhere. I don't think she understands how much that means to me. 
          
          Like yes, I 10,000%  S L A N D E R the modern version of the goober (ah yes, 2010 is 'modern'), but I have him to thank for still being here! My top 3 games of all time for me is Halo 3, Sonic Rush and Sonic Riders. 
          
          Is Frontiers still a 5/10 for me? Yep. 
          
          Do I find his IDW and Prime versions insufferable? Definitely. 
          
          But am I being hyperbolic for the sake of comedy 99% of the time? Most definitely! There's a reason a chapter in art book II has me crash out and give a brownie recipe like an AI gone rogue.
          
          So yeah, work today has been going pretty well! Obviously busy because it's almost the 4th of July, but doing alright!
