Moebius Loop L O R E patch

The Raven's Nest has been renamed to the "Knights of the Wind", fitting their role as an armed intervention group who's roots can be traced back to Avalon. Armored Core reference was cool, but didn't really fit. Neat nod to Sonic and the Black Knight as well. Already got a lot of knights of the round table themes going on, why not add a few more?

Also just some background info for them.

"200 years ago, there was a war on Avalon. Francia, Britannia, Polska and several other countries found themselves fighting for control of Old Europe's central point, "The Round Table". It is said that whoever controls it controls Europe. Leading Francia's main army was Edward Charlemagne. Saving an orphaned girl, he would raise her over the course of the war. While her original name is unknown, he would give her the name "Rosalind", as well as a sword so that she could fight alongside him. The sword was named Durandal, and she would take it as her surname. Edward would fall during the final battle, Rosalind taking his place. After the war's end, she would form the Knights of the Wind as a peacekeeping force, recruiting heroes from all different sides of the war. Rosalind and the Knights would last be seen commencing an armed intervention on Mobius after receiving a distress signal. While never confirmed dead, their presence on Avalon was erased, and no records of them exist. Rumors circulate that they survived, however, and are operating on Mobius to help rebuild it."

(Possible) Moebius Loop L O R E: "Denali/Jackdaw"

"Originally the 4th Mountain class battlecruiser, she was intended to be finished shortly after the first engagements against the Versailles Federation, hoping to fix any potential issues. However, multiple factors led to her instead being used as spare parts. These range from Appalachia's capture to Archangelo and Whitney's heavy damage thanks to a certain captain Arno Durandal. By the end of the war, she was barely recognizable, with only her basic hull left unsalvaged. Seeing as Whitney was undergoing conversion into a museum/memorial ship (all thanks to a mysterious "Edward Charlemagne" who influenced the decision), she would be restored and upgraded to late Great War/Pre-Solian War standards. These would include railguns, an enhanced secondary battery suite, all new targeting systems, Jupitris Drive compatibility (allowing access to the BANDIT system like the Branwen) and other systems. Renamed the Jackdaw, her existence would be kept a secret, much like the true identity of Edward Charlemagne. When the Solian Empire invaded both Mobius and Avalon, she would be put in service as admiral Arno Durandal's flagship. Many have noted the irony that a ship essentially reborn being captained by the man known as the 'Firebird of Britannia'."

Rant. Ignore.

Love when my friends try getting me into a game that practically takes a college degree to understand. Yeah, my autism and ADHD aren't going to make that complicated at all. Nope...

And this is why you won't catch me dead on War Thunder (besides the game and a vocal part of its community being outright hostile to anyone who doesn't want to sweat their balls off. I have a job and other hobbies, thank you. Unironically would rather play Sonic Frontiers. If you know the bit, you know.) or see me playing Hearts of Iron by myself. At least HOI4 has a good community, even if the game itself feels like a case of "overly complicated? No no no, friend, it's just D E E P. So anyways, your army got fucked over by some random debuff that you have to trudge through 7 different menus to find out existed. You'll figure it out buddy!" Yeah, no thanks. I play games to have fun and forget the world exists, not wish I choked on my umbilical cord as a fetus because I feel like I'm ruining my friends' fun because I can't figure out how a game works.

Love having to spend 10 minutes of my break working because "noooo, one singular coupon out of my 900 didn't come out! Wahhh! I'm gonna throw a tantrum in the middle of Dollar General!"

Had to open up so the other 20 customers (mind you, FLASH FLOOD WARNING in effect and these people are buying soda and other junk.) could check out. Thankfully my manager said I could just restart my break, but I sounded like I was ready to jump the register and beat someone, lmao.

Have I mentioned how much I hate some of the people who come in?

@Sunniertoast no point. I'm paid barely over minimum wage, and I believe in working what I'm paid. So simply doing my job to the dot and nothing more is good enough, and rages the entitled.

Casually going to work during a flood, lol. Hopefully it'll keep the crackheads and asshats at home.

@Sunniertoast yeah, I say the most out of pocket stuff when I'm at work. Mostly because dealing with the general public is a chore at best. Although the nice people make it worth it.

@Sunniertoast also real fun when the county puts out a message saying to not leave unless you ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO. I guess Little Debbie cakes are a necessity. Dollar General closes and all the diabetic people are going to spontaneously explode. Average customer falls and the US is getting a new fault line because the amount of lard hitting the earth.

Working on Valentine's day makes the holiday ironic. Because a large chunk of the people coming in are grumpy babies in adult bodies who have think SWIPING THEIR CARD is too difficult. The bacteria on the toilets have more brain activity than these troglodytes. And a better reading ability. Because ah yes "Pepsi is on sale: 3 for $15" CLEARLY means that Coke is included!

"Whitney, it's the just a light cruiser! You're a battlecruiser, you'll be fine!"

The very angry Espadon behind a mountain (multiply the sound 5 times because she has 5 3 barrel turrets): https://youtu.be/m7bwI4jJlTA?si=5N0oN15_0kTOh1L6

Reminder that just three Respada class vessels adds 45 guns to a fleet by themselves. Mind you, these are plasma mortars too. Unlike the lasers used by most factions in Moebius Loop, plasma mortars can't overpen and actually know the concept of splash damage. So you can imagine how terrifying it is when you're just vibing and all of a sudden your flight deck is getting pounded by over 45 shells AT A TIME (not even accounting for the fact that they can reload and do it pretty quick. Light cruiser and all that.) and said shells are the equivalent to bloody NAPALM! So it makes a bit more sense that Acadia is scared of the little shits when they get mass produced. Like yes, they're easily beaten at range. But Acadia's ships are meant for brawls. Yes, they can take down a cruiser or two if they face off in open conditions. But these usually are in a fleet, or dedicated wolfpacks.

Oh, and they can actually support land invasions without having to get closer (Earth/Avalon being a sphere and all that), unlike their laser counterparts, who can only use their missiles from a distance.

Projectcobra72

Also I imagine that the kansen version of Cerberus squadron (the first three Respada class ships were launched in a squadron together as a test. They are a menace.) just blast the DMC battle themes while doing their missions. Like battling a fleet of battleships and blaring Cerberus' DMC 3 theme for the funnies.
