I write for the women that are quiet in public and rage in solitude. I write for women who have been told softness is weakness. I write for anyone who needs a heroine who looks like them--or feel like them. I write for awkward black girls. For those tired of being praised for surviving what they should've been protected from.  For the overqualified and under-supported.  For anyone  who still freezes when they see a car like his.

I write lived experiences. 
I give voice to silence.
