Someone once asked me, "Why don't you interact with us anymore? Why do you only stay in your room and play with your tablet or read books? What do they say that we don't?"

I never got to say this, but my answer would have been:

"My tab never scolds me, a book never reminds me that I have imperfections or that I'm not beautiful, my crafts never told me that I have to be number 1 in my class because they take me for who I am and doesn't want to shape me the way they want, they shape me the way I want. And that is definitely way better than listening to how many hours my friends exercise and I don't."
