The Static Between Us has officially been completed. Yes, I cried about that. ANYWAY.

Yeaaaaah, I’m gonna start writing The Distance Between Us, because I need just a little longer of a break from the dark, dark topics in my Angel and Devil series. But don’t worry, they’ll be coming back in likely mid-June.

Okay, time to go write chapter one of Aiden and Nash’s book, The Distance Between Us. Soft Nash might be one of my favorite soft-centered bad boys.

SOOOO, I actually had the Norovirus (stomach flu) because now my whole house has it. All the while, I’m completely fine. So, uh, WHO WANTS CHAPTERS TODAY?

          I deserve a break hahahahahhaha.

They’re all okay, and they’re sleeping now.

Peace and quiet never felt so much like writing time. And they’re feeling better, since the stomach flu is a really fast virus. They’re just all achy and whatnot.

          So, new chapters?

          ❤️

I just had the worst food poisoning HAHA. I’m finally on the mend, and I’ll be back within the next couple of days.

I’m gonna finish The Staric Between Us, and after? Probably will be dual writing The Distance Between Us and My Damaged Devil. But first, I’ll likely finish the last few chapters of Heartbreaks and Hat Tricks. ❤️

          Love you guys.

SOURPUSS SUMMARY: I worked so hard on this guys. It’s not going on the back of the book. It’s to show everyone what the book is about <3

          SYNOPSIS:

Three years after Avery’s suicide, Julian is still surviving more than living. The grief never softened. It just buried itself deeper beneath college classes, exhaustion, and pretending he was fine when he absolutely was not.

Then one random afternoon, he walks into the campus cafeteria and sees his dead best friend standing there.
Same eyes. Same smile. Same face Julian had mourned for three years.

For one horrifying second, the world stops making sense. Julian can barely breathe, barely think, barely process how Avery could somehow be alive and standing in front of him holding a stupid tray of cafeteria food like he never shattered Julian’s entire world.

          Then the stranger speaks.

          “You knew my brother?”

          Brother.

          Not Avery.

          Holden.

The identical twin Julian never knew existed.
Holden is nothing like Avery and somehow that makes everything worse. He’s sarcastic, stubborn, obsessed with lemon candies to an almost concerning degree, and constantly calling Julian “Sourpuss” whenever he shuts down emotionally. Julian tries to keep his distance at first. He has to. Because falling apart over Avery was one thing. Falling for someone with the same face feels dangerous in an entirely different way.

          But grief recognizes grief.

And somewhere between late night conversations, lemon lollipops shoved into Julian’s hands, and learning how to exist again instead of simply surviving, the two begin piecing themselves back together.
Because when Julian looks at Holden, he doesn’t see a ghost.

          He sees Holden.

And maybe, for the first time since losing Avery, that means Julian finally sees a future too.

Hey guys, I wanted to update you on my published book that’s coming out next summer. I had a question, too.

So, the storyline is very heartbreaking (duh), and it deals with grief and whatnot. Now, I am getting into the first draft soon, as I have finally changed the plot to fit what I think is exactly the changes it needed. I’m very excited.

          The book is called Sourpuss.

Anyway, so my first draft/fun draft is getting prepared to be written.

Would you guys like me to write it here, and then post it under a different name with characters named differently? The storyline during the edit process will be significantly changed and cleaned up. BUT I really would love to give you guys some access.

The only thing is, the story WILL come down 3 months before it’s published. :( Has to for copyright and rules and regulations purposes.

But I’d still love to share with you! ❤️

          Let me know.

I’ll come post the synopsis as an announcement soon, if the overall consensus is positive.

          xx

          WRITING UPDATES:

          HEY EVERYONE.

There’s gonna be a sequel to The Static Between Us. Yeaaaah, I didn’t anticipate it, but it happened, and I have a good story to tell with it.

          It’s called…

          The Distance Between Us.

          And this will beeee…

          Aiden and Nash’s story. ❤️

They won’t be long distance, just to make that clear. Which will be shown with how the end of The Static Between Us plays out.

Anyway, this story will feature the trauma of someone in the aftermath of gun violence from childhood and the other who dealt with mental and sometimes physical abuse from his past.

Stage Manager Aiden Ryker (Kept his father’s last name) gets his time to shine. One of his crew members? That little bad boy, Nash Fox, who doesn’t think he is capable of falling in love. ❤️

          Love you guys.
          xx

Hiii
I am currently reading one of your books and I don't know why I felt the need to drop a message but I wanted you to help me understand something.
I understand Damon left Tate for 2 years (very wrong of him) but I am also of the opinion that if you wrong me and I choose to forgive you and take you back, we are moving past that issue. So yeah Tate ignored him for 11hrs and everyone around him were saying he fucked up but compared to Damon ghosting him for 2 years it's nothing.
I understand that everyone was trying to help both of them but I somehow think in a way they're invalidating Damon's pain. His brother committed suicide and I get it, it's not an excuse for anything but he's still healing, I like to believe that, he was scared when he was unable to reach Tate yeah and the matter should not have blown up to that extent if only...
All in all, what I am trying to say is I feel they were kinda invalidating Damon's pain, you can call someone to order in ways more than one than bring up past things because according to the chapters I have read he knows he fucked up and I know he's going to beat himself up for it everyday because he probably thinks he does not deserve a second chance with Tate but yeah Tate also fucked up and Damon should not have said the last part but I feel Jasper and Sebastian could have helped both of them without comparing their past situation to the present one.
I feel I am giving you my opinion, it's crazy but I actually want you to give me your own opinion. I love your books btw

@IKEPURCO Hi there. I'm probably not the person you expected to reply but I'm Nyx's official shadow™ (if you don't believe me, check their bio). As Nyx is sick right now, I have taken it upon myself to give you a response that you asked them for! I also apologize in advance if any of this comes off as rude or impolite. I tend to be blunt at times.

Like SofieSoffe said, they were all triggered and sometimes people do things they don't really mean when they are triggered. I think Nyx displays this excellently and I'm not just saying that because I know them personally.

Grief is a tricky thing. Grief can be extremely different to everyone. Grief may have someone not talk to someone for 2 years (like Damon did) or it may cause someone to be upset and ignore someone for 11 hours (like Tate did). At the end of the day, grief is hard and presents differently to everyone. Losing someone is hard. Losing a sibling is even harder. Everything the characters did was their response to this loss and I believe they are justified.

As I mentioned before, I think Nyx writes grief very well and I know they want to show that sometimes people do things that they wouldn't normally do because they are feeling so hard that the only outlet it to lash out at someone they love. Nyx has tried very hard to convey that people are complex people and sometimes you can't explain your actions but with communication and time, you can heal from them.

I hope this helps a little bit! Thanks for reading though. I know Nyx does greatly appreciate it!

@IKEPURCO I feel like the story actually shows that, both sides. And I think the fight shows how feelings sometimes overrule logic. They were all triggered, and it showed, Sebastian was also triggered, and Jasper reacted to his feelings
