I’ve been absent from Wattpad for awhile, due to school, work and the pandemic. As the world around us is changing I couldn’t help but notice that Wattpad didn’t in a way. Yes, they updated the app and added cool features but that’s not what’s bothering. The lack of POC stories on Wattpad is upsetting, especially fanfic ones. I know everyone doesn’t have the same genre/show or even celebrity preference. I feel like their needs to be more representation on her for POC and not just for women but for guys also. I feel like we all need to come together and form a new branch of Wattpad one with diversity. I want to see POC books make it to the big screens just like the kissing booth and After did. Whoever follows me sees this can you please DM some good POC authors. Let’s all come together a create something new.
