PurnimaNegi

Dear readers,
This message is to inform you all again that it will take me some more time to update. I am super busy these days as it is the academic session ending period. Kindly understand. I am planning to update the chapters altogether, so, I am writing bit by bit everyday. Kindly have some more patience. I am not sure how long it will take but march-end is what I am expecting.
Thank you for your support and love.

 #MAFIA_SERIES

Aanya, stop," Adwait said, his voice slightly louder now, laced with warning.

She could see it-he was about to snap. Yes, yes, now he'll lose it, she thought, a thrill sparking in her chest.

But instead of reacting with anger, Adwait simply leaned back in the chair, eyes locked on hers. Then, without a word, he began to unbutton his shirt-slowly, deliberately-each movement exaggerated, until he yanked it off and tossed it aside.

Aanya's eyes widened. Her jaw dropped. Shock flooded her face.

"Ahhh! Shameless!" she shouted, spinning on her heel and making a dash for it.

But he was faster. Adwait stood in a flash, reached out, and caught her wrist mid-stride. She turned, her hand already balled into a fist, aiming straight for his face. But he caught it mid-air.

In one smooth motion, he twirled her under his arm like a dancer, then leaned in and pressed a bold kiss to her left cheek.

Her mouth dropped open again-outrage, disbelief, and something else flickering in her eyes.

She didn't hesitate. This time she lifted her knee, aiming for his stomach, but he caught her leg with ease. Sliding one arm under her knee and the other around her waist, he bent her slightly backward in a dramatic dip. Before she could wriggle free, he kissed her right cheek.

          Then-thud.

          He let go.

Aanya landed squarely on the floor, right on her backside.

Crossing his arms over his bare chest, Adwait looked down at her, a smug smile playing on his lips.

          "You lost," he said.

Viraj stood by Snehaa not out of duty, not out of expectation — but out of choice.
He helped her with quiet loyalty and genuine care, guided by sincerity and a pure intention to protect. His support was unconditional, his kindness freely given, untouched by hidden motives.
          He never kept count.
He never placed her in debt.
He never expected anything in return.
His concern came from the depth of his heart — authentic, steady, and selfless.
He chose to be her strength without announcing it,
          her shield without claiming credit,
her shadow — even to her shadow.
          Not for praise.
          Not for reward.
But because true care doesn’t calculate — it simply stands, unwavering.
