Hi huns! It’s now spring again and it’s this time of year that I feel most inspired to write my Ever After High fanfic. I've been reviewing my work from where I left off last year and I'm excited to continue Lily's story. I'm planning a comeback to writing so please stay tuned to this space! My goal is to write and publish a chapter a week depending on the length and how busy I am with work. Lily was an oc imagined when I was growing up and I first discovered ever after high. I've found exploring and developing Lily's character a great form of escape and comfort. It’s also interesting to write this story as the oc insert represented my dreams and insecurities I had growing Lily represents up which I've revisited and expanded upon as a new adult. I like to think that Lily represents my favorite fantasy aesthetics as well as a deeper look within myself any therefore is some sort of heeling of my inner child. Feel I owe it to the sad little girl I was to finish Lily's story within the world of ever after high, no matter how many years it takes or how old I become. Anyway, feel like I've shared too much. Finally published chapter 9 of The Frog Princess. I spent a lot of time on the dialogue between my oc and her mum.
          Chapter 10 is underway! I'm currently finishing off the chapter outline and creating the storyboard and a visual mood board to capture the atmosphere of the world of ever after. I create boards for every chapter and its a lot of fun putting imagery together that shows off the concept and plot of each part of Lily's adventure.

Currently halfway through writing chapter 9. I had some writer's block, but I'm now on track to publish the next part of the frog princess this week!

          I'm currently writing an Ever After High fanfiction using a story and original character I created when I was a teenager. I decided to finally bring my daydreams to life after feeling nostalgia towards the old cartoon and how much I used to love the bright and colourful aesthetic. Writing gives me some escapism and breaks from writing my dissertation as I am currently in the process of completing my postgraduate degree. I'm more used to academic styles of writing and haven't done any creative writing or storytelling since I was in high school so I'm very rusty, however, I am enjoying the process!
          
           I take inspiration for my story from the original series Ever After High web series and more current lifestyle and fashion trends such as princess-core, green aesthetic, fairy-core, royal-core and the fashion from Bridgerton. And not to mention my passion for wildlife and nature! I grew up in Scotland so the natural landscape and wildlife around me is a big part of my identity and makes me feel at home so is a big inspiration to me. I created some mood boards and sketches to illustrate the style of the fairytale world I imagined my main character to live in, so I might include some links later on if people are interested in seeing more of my creative process and visuals. I honestly think including images can help bring the story to life so much more and create more of an immersive experience for the reader. Especially for a genre like fanfiction.
          
          Thank you for giving my wee fanfiction and secret passion project a read. I really enjoy seeing your messages and comments and makes me happy when I see someone who loves Ever After High as much as I used to love growing up. I honestly would have been happy if only five people read my story so it's really exciting seeing so many active readers! I really want to see this story to completion, if only to make the teenage me happy, so your encouragement means a lot.
