          Prologue 
          
          "You called him?" 
          His voice was dangerously low. Chill ran down my spine after hearing his words. 
          
          'How did he get to know?' 
          My fingers trembled, and I clutched the side of my dress.
          
           The pinch of nervousness and fear surged in my mind. I swallowed my breath and opened my mouth, no words came out. 
          
          "Come on! Tell me," he demanded while tracing the outline of my neck with his cold lips. 
          
          "I ju…just wanted t..to cele…celebrate…" 
          
          I hissed in pain as he bit harshly at my shoulder, showcasing his disapproval towards my explanation. 
          
          "Come again," he growled while tightening his hold around my bare waist and pulling me more into him. 
          
          Meanwhile, his lips were making circles on the same spot on my neck, making me moan his name, "Rudra.." 
          
          "Yes! That's the only name I want to hear from now." 
          
          There was a warning in his tone. The next moment, my back hit the nearby wall and a pair of rough and possessive lips on mine.

"I  hate you, Alexander Blackwood." Her voice cracked, "You betrayed me."
          
          "Hate is a heavy word, Emily." Alexander paused and took a step ahead, his hot breath gracing her ear. "You won't be able to hold that burden."
          
          Tears welled up in Emily's eyes. She shook her head in dejection. "I trusted you but..."
          
          Before she could speak further, he pulled her into him, his hands sliding possessively down her back. 
          
          His lips crashed onto hers with a fierce intensity. 
          
          Their kiss deepened, a blend of anger and longing, tongues entwining with an urgent need.
          
           Emily's fists pounded weakly against his chest before her resistance melted into a moan of surrender. 
          
          He broke the kiss, leaving her breathless, their foreheads touching. "I never broke your trust," he murmured, his voice a rough whisper against her lips.
