why do I feel like I'm getting dumber with each passing day? 

I feel like whenever I enjoy something, whether it be a book, movie etc. I start developing this unhealthy obsession with it. Like thinking about it 24/7, imagining the characters doing random ass shit and creating scenes that probably have nothing to do with the storyline or said characters.
