This is my first time writing this and whoever reads this in the future, whether you're familiar with Kpop or not, and whether you are(or were) a Shawol(a fan of the boy group Shinee) or not, I want to spend a few minutes of my time to write this down. This is more of a farewell to a member of Shinee who's name is Kim Jonghyun.
First, I will say that I cannot consider myself a Shawol, since I didn't watch that much shows that include Shinee, I barely know the members, and although I know and love their songs, I don't consider myself a true fan of Shinee, a Shawol. I consider myself only an admirer of them. I didn't know much on how the members acted on and off camera. Whether they were nice, funny, serious,or just plain quiet when cameras stop rolling. But I will say what I DO know about Kim Jonghyun.
Kim Jonghyun was a man I admired, from his vocal skills, handsome looks to his incredibly loud and bubbly personality, he was one of my favourite idols I loved watching when I managed to find Shinee on variety shows and interviews. Even though other members(Minho, Onew, Key, and Taemin) caught my eye from time to time, I always loved watching him on variety shows. It might sound like I'm 'bias'ing him, but I'm not.
To all the Shawols out there, please, please, PLEASE stay strong. If you feel depressed or suicidal, talk. Just talk. Let your feelings out to someone you trust. Please, no matter how much Kim Jonghyun's death affected you, don't try to harm yourself in any way. I might've not known him personally, but I don't think Jonghyun would've want you to do this. So please, stay strong and pray(for anyone who has a religion) for him. I know how this might not seem much of an effort, but if you truly love and respect him, you would know better than to do extreme actions and taint his image any further. I'm not hating, but please act mature and THINK. And everyone please, PLEASE, respect the idols'and fans privacy for the time being. Thank you
