Anyone else finding it really hard to stay motivated during quarantine??

alessiaholmes

@QueenDarquesse honestly, yes and no. Some days are better than others, so I feel that way sometimes too. Hope you're doing ok though :)

@QueenDarquesse Opposite for me really; I thrive on minimal social contact. This is probably the most productive and motivated I've been in years.

I really predicted the end of the world huh?

          I started The Hero Project about four years ago and set it in 2020 cause it felt like ages ago. But now it’s here...and it’s absolutely crazy. Wildfires, floods, war, pandemics, UFOs. I’m just waiting for that silver ship to appear in the sky and take all the kids ://

@anubisd101

            The pentagon officially released footage of UFOs. The videos had been leaked before but this was just the pentagon revealing that they were in fact real- but just because they’re UFOs doesn’t mean aliens. The videos could be of drones or other stuff.

@QueenDarquesse That must be trippy af. Not sure if I'd wanna be a marked or not. I think I'd rather be an average someone who helps a marked.

            Also I have not heard anything about UFOs, can you fill me in?

The fact that I've already plotted out a six-book series when I haven't even finished the first book is proving to be a bit of a problem..oops. :/

@moonwriter85 It's a universal struggle

SNEAK PEAK INTO 'FIRST LIGHT' :

          Luiz looked up at the clouds again. They were pulsing. Joining together. Roaring as they hit the horizon and infected the sky. Luiz threw his seatbelt on just in time for a wave of wind and dirt to swallow up the front of the SUV. Tree’s were being ripped up by their roots, and even trucks were beginning to roll.

          Luiz let out a cry as a tree trunk threatened to smash through the front windshield, but Sam swerved out of the way at the last minute. Luiz’s heart was in his throat, it’s pulse echoing through his head.

          Sam swore loudly. ‘’That came out of nowhere!’’

          Luiz blinked. Why did he think the only problem was the explosion? Why couldn’t he see the chaos outside?

          There were shapes forming in its depths now. Impossible shapes; like beasts hidden behind a veil. Sounded like wild animals too- hooves beating against the dirt, heavy snarls, and piercing squeals from its inky abyss.

          ‘’Drive!’’ Luiz screamed, ‘’Now, Sam!’’

          Sam swerved off the dirt and into the main road, which was already becoming thick with emergency vehicles. Luiz turned to watch out the rear window, and he let out a strangled cry. The cloud edged towards the police and as it neared them, something rose from within it and dragged them into the unknown.

          Luiz’s brain stopped working. A ringing filled his brain and he slipped back into his seat, staring down at his feet.

          ‘’Don’t you dare throw up in my car, kid.’’

Introducing the blurb for First Light:

          Luiz Knight knows he is destined to do great things. Sure, he spends most of his time alone, and has a crippling fear of heights, spiders and- well, basically everything, but he’s determined that none of that will stop him.
          Luiz’s belief is tested when his uncle is kidnapped by something strange and evil, borne from the collision of two different worlds. With the help of a secretive princess with strange abilities, an amnesiac demon, and an enchantresses’ apprentice with dubious loyalties, he must attempt to save his Uncle and unearth the mystery that has brought these two worlds together.
          Except there is only one way for Luiz to save his Uncle and the two worlds: become a Saviour, one of the knights of fantastical skill and power who protect the Cycle of life from any harm. Now the only thing standing in his way is a plethora of monsters and dark power beyond his wildest nightmares- that and his own fears.
          Luiz Knight knows he is destined to do great things, but will he be brave enough to do what he was born to do?

          Let me know what you think!!
