QueenStarbuck
Hello everyone,
I hope you are doing well.
There are many sayings about life, none of which I can come up with off the top of my head. But as all things entangled in time, life moves forward. Some things come and some things go.
This is the announcement of my departure from Wattpad. I'm leaving for a plethora of reasons, none of which I particularly want to get into. That said, however, I want to tell you a final story here.
When I joined Wattpad years ago, it was a bit of a Hail Mary on my part. I didn't take myself seriously. I remember thinking, Gee, if I can get even seven people to read one story of mine, I'll be happy. Well, years later The Orion Star is currently sitting pretty at 10.1k reads, which far exceeded my WILDEST dreams and expectations.
If you've been here awhile, you might know I struggle with self-esteem. While perhaps it's foolhardy to put my respect for myself in other people's hands, it's sadly something I still struggle with and something I still do.
The point is, if you are reading this now, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for taking time out of your day to read the words I've spit out over the years and Frankensteined together into quasi-sensical stories. Thank you for the lovely comments. Thank you for showing interest, and for giving me an experience I never thought I'd have!
Thank you so much for believing in me when I doubted myself. Because the neat little thing is that this little, years-long Wattpad experiment? The one I did as a whim all those years ago to prove to myself I was actually good at writing? Well, it gave me a dose of self-confidence I needed. So perhaps it would have been better to believe in myself, but regardless I got there, and I thank you for that.
I wish you peace, health, and happiness. As always, please be kind to your fellow humans. There's enough hate in this world, you don't need to add to it.
Love,
Sarah

@QueenStarbuck I really hope the journey you have ahead of you only leaves you loving yourself more and more. Shards of Ankh is still one of my most recommended Egyptian series that I love so much. I hope you also find little joys like the one you gave me with this book. Really glad to hear from you and hope you have a wonderful life ahead of this experience!
