I thought wattpad was supposed to be a way for people to come together, share their passions, get feedback on their work, and to not feel so alone in the world. Shame that now we have to pay for online amateur stories that may or may not be interesting to the reader once you get into the story.
I've gotta say. I'm disappointed in wattpad. This beta program is very upsetting. I get that it's good for those who were approached to participate in this program but all it's made me do is check each story I have and want to read before I start. If those stories are participating I no longer read them or add them to read eventually. I don't have the money to read every story I want to on this app nor would I put my money into this if I did. I'm more likely to buy a printed and published book than pay to read online stories by people who are supposed to be just like me. It's disappointing. If all stories suddenly go to this and this is what wattpad based its future on I will uninstall this app after deleting my account and everything on it.
