"*Katie's POV*
The next morning, I felt myself wake up, but I didn't open my eyes. I tried to drift back to sleep, but apparently my brain just wouldn't let me. I pulled the sleeves of Niall's sweater, that was huge on me, by the way, over my fists so that my hands would be warm.
I felt something next to my body, and I remembered last night. I grinned into my pillow.
"I thought I felt you wake up," a husky voice said softly in my ear. I giggled softly, fluttering my eyes open.
His torso was uncovered by the sheet and his back was leaning against the backboard. There's nothing I'd rather wake up to more than this.
"Goodmorning," I said as I leaned up and kissed his lips lightly. I cuddled up into him in our sitting position and he pulled me closer to him with his arm.
"Last night was amazing," he whispered. I bit my lip, and I felt a light blush creep onto my cheeks.
"Why are you blushing?" he laughed.
"I'm not blushing!" I said, hiding my face in his shoulder so that he couldn't see it.
"Oh, really? Because I see it, I see it right there!" he laughed as he poked my cheek.
I giggled into his shoulder and brushed a piece of fallen hair out of my eyes.
"I've missed that so much," I heard him whisper.
"What?" I asked, cocking my head to the side.
"Your laugh," he said simply.
I smiled. "Did you miss my cooking too?" I asked.
"Of course I did!"
"Good. Come on, then," I said, getting out of the covers.
"Waaait, don't leave!" he whined.
"Oh, so you don't want me to go make you breakfast?" I said as Ieaned in the doorway.
"Is that what you were doing? Go ahead then, I'm not stopping you," he grinned.
I shook my head as I smiled and ruffled his hair up. "You're such a goober, Niall."
I pranced into the kitchen, and my exposed legs were a bit chilly. Every so often the goosebumps would tickle my legs and I'd have to do a get-rid-of-goosebumps dance to make them go away.
