@hivemindd /  worse, he's taken down bigger bots like overlord (who is also basically unkillable) and more or less survived being crushed by metroplex (cityformer). and that cannon is linked to a black hole to draw power. regardless of the mech size, i fear kael would be fucked </3
            
            Megatron chuckled in response, “For one of your kind to manage such a feat, I imagine it would be.” He leaned forward, down enough to almost meet the mech's height as his gaze pierced into it. He tilted his helm, a slight sadistic smile tugging at his lips. At times, a nuisance; other times, entertaining– The hubris of these organics, to think they could come close to matching his power. While this machine seemed perhaps the most advanced he's seen of this planet, it still lacked. Granted, even most of his kind lacked when compared to him. There was a reason he was feared throughout the galaxies.
            
            “Do you think that those weapons will finish me? That this armor will protect you? Your kind is so easily crushed,” He stood tall again, “Like insignificant insects.”

[@RISETYRANT] /    i did some research and it’s so funny that megs is bigger than kael’s mech.. the mech is 33 feet while megs can be up to 20 to 38.. :sob:  poor kael.. </3
            
                 Kael had been dispatched by the ESA after civilians reported something terrorizing the area.  No one knew what it was , and command had written it off as another Vod incident , sending him in with little more than coordinates and an order to neutralize the threat.  By now , Kael was one of the few pilots aware that earth faced more than just the Vod — there were other things out there too , machine-born and alien in ways even the alliance barely understood.  He’d developed a grim curiosity about them over time.  Killing one , he figured , would be . . .  enlightening.
            
                 “ A feisty one , aren’t you ? ”  he remarks , his voice crackling through the comms once more.  “ Makes me wonder if you’re all this ill-mannered. ”  The mech shifts back a step , a precaution more than fear — it was hard to ignore how small he felt compared to the thing looming before him.  “ Careful , ”  he adds coolly.  “ Tempting me will only make this more enjoyable.  I haven’t put one of your kind down yet , but I imagine it’d be satisfying. ”

            Megatron looked down at the mech, undoubtedly unimpressed with the machine as red optics scanned it. Not living metal, so far from it. It was one of those organic-piloted contraptions. This one almost reminded him of the Quintessons... if the Quintessons were considerably less of a threat, that is.
            
            The Cybertronian scoffed at the attempt at intimidation, choosing to mock it for the time being, his fusion cannon powering down as he took a step forward as if to take a closer look. This was like a novelty to him. Something so small and weak. He's survived much worse than this, much more powerful adversaries. “Do you think you can? I'm sorely tempted to allow you to *try*.”

            Optimus sighed heavily knowing that for many what negatron said was most likely true. Battle scars and emotional trauma were at times hard to forget. But Optimus had to hold onto hope it was how he got through the war.

            “They will die long before this planet learns forgiveness,” Even most Cybertronians, with such long lifespans, would never dream of forgiving the warlord. Even future generations of this planet would no doubt know his name, the horrors he brought here in this war. Megatron sighed and looked away, “And they shouldn't. Not for me.”

            Optimus put his hand on Megatron's shoulder. "Give it time old friend, wounds will heal and soon they will learn to forgive as I have." He spoke gently but with a certain feeling of inspiration to give even the most downcast bot the hope they need to keep pushing on.  

/  anyway redemption arc is also depression arc

/  tfw your aspirations to help your people become so corrupted that you do nothing but harm them instead. tfw all you wanted was to heal and heal others, but now you destroy everything you touch. and you're so lost in it, you've lost yourself. you are what you sought to destroy, and you don't even care anymore. all this cruelty is a means to an end for you
