I don't think anyone could replace Jasmine Cookie for Burning Spice Cookie, but having the reader be someone who reminds him of her, someone who he clings too because of the death of her drove him to seek love anywhere he could, and maybe part of the way he is redeemed is him learning to untangle the two from eachother

You can do it your story is pretty well written but my own solotion polyamory
