          The stories are completely different so you don't have to read one to enjoy the other. But they are set in the same world, the Gilded Empire. It's a high magic empire that spans a multiverse.

I'm happy to announce that after way too long, I've managed to finish She Bleeds for Us. Expect regular updates for the next couple months as I bring this story to it's conclusion.
