R J Gould lives in Cambridge. His contemporary fiction introduces quirky characters and explores their relationships using humor and a strong sense of irony.
His first novel, 'The Engagement Party', was published as a Kindle e-novel in February 2012 and in paperback in August 2012. It covers the week leading up to the celebration when the eight parents, step-parents and partners of the young couple are to meet for the first time.
His second novel, The Reunion, was published as an e-novel in April 2013. Starting at a twenty-five year school reunion, it traces David's attempt to develop a relationship and open an arts cafe.
He is a member of Cambridge Writers, was their short story competition winner in February 2010 and received a commendation for 'Domestic Blisslessness' in February 2012. This story is available as a Kindle e-book.
R J Gould works for a national educational charity. He has published in a wide range of journals, newspapers and magazines and is the co-author of a major work on educating able young people.
