Reena K. Belford is an actor and writer living in Ottawa, Canada with her son, dog and two cats. It is crowded, but nowhere near as crowded as the inside of her skull.

Reena comes to writing by way of (seemingly) every other profession first - she has been a travel agent, a bus girl, a sausage hanger, a medical transcriptionist, a public servant, a pharmacist's assistant, a tax return processor, a traffic control officer, a nanny, a medical researcher and an editor/proofreader. These days she spends much of her time promoting Ottawa's theatre scene.

Her first published novel, Cracked: A Novella, was originally written over a period of 72 hours as part of the 2007 3-Day Novel competition. It has since been revised and edited (and wiped of coffee and tear stains).

Her second published work "I Am Not These Things" is a collection of short poetry and prose.
