R.M. Almeida has been writing since 1985. He dabbled with poetry at first and graduated to the creation of his first attempt at a novel in 1998. A retired sailor, R.M. Almeida has been shaped by the world and the thousands of souls who have molded him as a writer.

R.M. Almeida was an International Literary award winner in 1988. He served as a journalist on a naval periodical in San Diego. His first published short story occurred in the mid-80's, also published in several (now defunct) online magazines.

Today, R.M. Almeida is semi-retired. He has had a part-time love as a bookseller for Barnes & Noble, Booksellers since 1988. He now manages two Meetup groups in Las Vegas, devoted not only to the creative arts, but evolving ways to help creative artists of all disciplines make a living in what they love most...their art.
