So guys, before I started writing Chapter 2, I also created myself a planner, containing some of the characters, lore, information and the summary of chapters I want to write. However, in the planner, I have few different ideas compared to the Prologue and Chapter 1, which I would like to change immediately in the story. However, I do also want to publish at least 10 chapters before I do another rewrite. So, should I just publish 10 chapters before I do a rewrite, or do the rewrite now, so there is no confusion of information in the next chapters and there won't be a future rewrite?

ROO__1

@Nagataro possibly, but it's going to be the last one for a while as I want to get out a few chapters I have already planned for.

@ROO__1 would the rewrite take a long time though?

And I guarantee that I won't be doing another rewrite after this, perhaps for a much longer time.

Hey dude, what's up? Are you considering to release new version of Machine Arcana soon?

ROO__1

@Osean_Federation Sorry for not responding in two days. I'm not planning to republish the old story since the new one I'm making is the one I want everyone to initially read.

Osean_Federation

@ROO__1 Hmm... Do you still have a old version of the story? It will be better for reader to read again the old version while waiting for the new one.

ROO__1

@Osean_Federation It's a work in progress, but I really have limited time to work on it. I'm just too busy, but I will post again sooner or later.

Dude, why Machine Arcana is being deleted? :(

Osean_Federation

@ ROO__1 I see, you should give a warning dude -_-

@Osean_Federation I've unpublished my work temporarily to focus on creating five more chapters. Once I complete and feel confident about them, I'll republish it. Alternatively, I might start a new story.

Hello guys. I'm sorry that Chapter 1 took so long to publish. Since its the Summer Break, I'll try to release as many chapters as I can, while also limiting to only 5000 words. I have habit in going overboard, so I made myself a goal to reach 10 Chapters before I do any rewriting. Thanks again.

Gohan_Grey

@ROO__1 I will look forward for more chapters

Gohan_Grey

@ROO__1 but for me the longer the chapter is the satisfying it gets because the feeling of never running out of chapters is there, plus you writing is very good as well so there's no problem if you go overboard for more than 5000 words

it's certainly nice to see that you're updating once again but I just wonder why you rewrote something that was already fine as it is, but can't stop you, it's your will since it's your story after, I'll look forward for more

Quick Question: What are your opinions of fight scenes from books? Are they boring and repetitive? Do you want them skipped or shortened? Otherwise, do you enjoy such action?

I'm saying this because, I usually just speed read through fight scenes in books, especially in Wattpad, unless they're interesting and are actually vital to the plot. I'm not opposed to such scenes, I just want my readers' opinions.

ROO__1

@Nagataro Thanks for your opinion, however the upcoming chapter will have a long battle sequance that may be too detailed. Still, I'll take it to consideration to limit fight scenes in the story.

Nagataro

@ROO__1 I don't like them when they are too detailed, but what I like more is that the writing of the fight scenes which the words they use are not repetitive.

I apologize to everyone who was expecting the release of the next chapter. Lately, I've been grappling with doubts about the direction of this story, especially since it's the first one I've crafted solely from my imagination. I often find myself wondering if the chapters are too long, too complicated, or simply not up to par. These inner thoughts have been frustrating, leading me to repeatedly rewrite chapters I've already completed.

Now, I'm committed to establishing a clear path forward for the story. If anyone has tips on improving my consistency, creativity, or overall quality, I welcome your feedback. Constructive criticism is also appreciated as it helps me identify areas for growth.

Once again, I'm sorry for any disappointment caused to those eagerly anticipating the next chapter.

          Changes to Prologue:
          - Complete removal of original Prologue, replaced by Chapter 1
          - Slight decrease in words
          - Machine Origin will remain unkown
          - Extended, more dramatic and chaotic dream
          - Introduction of new characters and new nations
          - The machine's atmospheric entrance remains anonymous with only AI description

Gohan_Grey

@ROO__1 we all will look forward to it, and I agree with @Osean_Federation, super agree

@svenzky Hello! It's totally surprising that I found myself a fan. Never thought I'd get this far. To answer your questions, I do not play Starsector, nor did I ever hear of such a game. Though it did pique my interest. I'm glad you hope that I can publish some sort of manga or anime. However, I can't draw, and I do not plan on paying anyone in doing so. I only wrote this story as a hobby, which can also contribute to why it takes so long to publish a chapter. I see why people hate or get annoyed about how slow this story is, but simply put, I only write if I have free time and in the mood to do so. I also actually finish writing a chapter, and the two extra weeks are just rewriting improvements and a general base of quality. I like this story to be the best of quality, and that would unfortunately bring my habit of rewrites. Though I would like to point out that, in the near future, I have no plans to discontinue. Thank you for understanding, and thank you for reading.
