@AsexualDemonboi MJ's unwillingness to answer drove a wedge in their friendship, distancing them, which resulted in her getting mixed up with a group of 'cool' older kids!!! A stressed MJ later confessed the real reason to Gwen, who forgave her (which slightly lessened the effect of her 'condition') though she, Vanessa, and Deadpool stayed suspicious of MJ's 'new friends'!!! Gwen and her dad investigated and learned that the new friends are a part of a drug-dealing racket, and are selling 'Genie', a kind of LSD!!! One night, the friends who are waiting for MJ on the roof of a building, catch Gwen spying on them, knock her out, and decide to drop her from the roof to make it look like a suicide!!! However, MJ turns up too early and witnesses this!!! The distraction causes the friend to release his grip on her and ACTUALLY drop her!!! Because MJ knows TOO MUCH, they decide to do the same for her, but fail, as the stress resulted in her 'condition' putting the  person gripping her neck (the only exposed bit of skin) collapsing and hitting his head on the corner of a crate (she was scared and angry, so her irises were a fiery red shade when it happened)!!! At that point, Captain Stacy, jumped in and arrested the whole gang!!! The Captain and his friend did not let her secret get out, as the gang member deserved it for ruining innumerable lives!!!
            Gwen's death, however, soured MJ's and the Stacy's bond!!! Her superstitious Korean relatives, who found out about her situation, accused her of being possessed by a Gumiho, and avoided her!!! Realising HOW Wade must have felt when he had to deal with people's stares following his transformation, MJ started training harder under him for both fighting and emotional control- all in order to control the 'demon' inside her (at first)!!!
            Back in the present, MJ reveals that even though her parents' support helped her control her abilities, it did nothing to abate the grief caused by the day Gwen died!
            
            

@AsexualDemonboi This version of Gwen Stacy is a character from MJ's past, who was also MJ's best friend in Canada, and the one who appears in her dreams to mock her sometimes!!!
            In a flashback (following the attempt on MJ's life), it's revealed that MJ (by MJ to Peter) first met Gwen at the age of eight, when she was being bullied by some kids!!! After that day, they became close friends!!! At this point, MJ met Wade/Deadpool, who saved her mother from a violent runaway patient, and requested to train under him, as she wanted to be able to protect the people close to her (Deadpool agreed, as she and her parents, along with Vanessa, were the only ones to NOT judge him) !!! When MJ hit puberty, her parents mysteriously fell sick and had to be hospitalized for extreme fatigue and weakness!!! Deadpool was the first person to figure this out, when Weasel, who was visiting him, fell sick from being within a 3-centimetre radius of her spot!!! On learning the truth, MJ was terrified, and fearing that her 'problem' might kill Gwen and others close to her, she took to wearing full-sleeved clothes and gloves, along with spending more time with Wade and Vanessa/Copycat due to her 'condition' (Vanessa wore full-sleeved clothes and a medical mask to avoid 'infection')!!! Gwen noticed the change, and thought that MJ was being PHYSICALLY abused, though she soon found out about her parents!!!
