I know no one will see this, but wanted to share this with you and I'll also share it in my next chapter. A little while back I discovered this account called 'Write About Now'. Essentially, it's an event held in Texas where poets can go and speak and share their poems and stories with the audience and the world. These performances are recorded and uploaded to their YouTube channel which I will link at the end. I also follow them on twitter where they promote their speakers and videos. I'm sure they'll have other forms of media too that you can find them on. The poems and speeches I have heard have moved me, impacted me and honestly made me think about aspects of my own life that I never would have second guessed. The speakers are all so passionate and immensely talented and deserve more recognition for their work. The audience as well are so supportive and you can tell they really connect with the performers. I think these people and their messages need to not only be seen but heard for who they are and what they believe in.
