                          Whispers of Deceit
          
          Chapter 1: The Crime
          
          Rain fell relentlessly on the city of Mumbai. In the heart of this bustling metropolis lay a lavish mansion in the upscale neighborhood of Malabar Hill. Vikram Malhotra, a prominent businessman, had met a grim fate within the walls of his opulent home. His lifeless body was sprawled across the room, and the signs of a violent struggle were evident. The only witness, the elderly housekeeper, stood in the corner, shaken, and claimed to have seen nothing but fleeting shadows.

Unseen, I wandered, where darkness spread. Not sure how I strayed on that uncertain trail, My path unlit, my journey set to fail.
          
          But now I search for home in shadows deep, With memories by my side, my soul to keep. Perhaps, in the dark, a better place I'll find, A thousand sorrows, yet, one light of mine.
          
          I'll etch another tale upon a shining boat, Once witnessed brilliance, now fading, remote. In the sea of memories, I'll float and wade, Beyond the shores of darkness, in the light's cascade.
