I've just been informed that Pokémon Bank is shutting down its services February 26, 2027. (This is not just some rumor - it was announced on the official Japanese site.) Make sure you get everything you want transferred up to Pokémon Home before then.
          
          Of course, I knew they couldn't keep it up forever. I'm surprised it's been up as long as it has. It was one of the very few applications spared by the 3DS internet service shutdown in March 2023, and it's been free to use since then (previously a paid subscription service). It really bums me out because without Bank, we're losing a major point of connectivity between the generations. All the DS and 3DS games (and hell, even the GBA games) will be barred from ever seeing the Switch systems. Even ignoring Pokémon Home, without Pokémon Bank, we won't even be able to transfer up beyond gen 5, since that was the last generation before Bank became the standard for transferring up. This is a massive blow to the preservation of Pokémon between generations. I don't think I have anything critically important to send up, but it still makes me sad to see another service go.

I've been on Wattpad for nearly 10 years and I've just now written a fanfic for the first time. I'll get around to posting it soon (hopefully), I just need to make a cover for it. I'm very excited to share it since I think it turned out pretty good :)

I was playing Pokémon Champions earlier and one of the people I battled somehow got a Focus Band to activate TWICE in a row on the same mon. I don't think I've ever seen a Focus Band activate even once, let alone twice. That has a 1% chance of happening btw.

You have to have the premium plan for Pokémon Home to transfer up Pokémon from Bank? That's literally the only reason I started using Home. Plus connectivity with Legends Z-A isn't available yet (but it may be coming later???) so I have no use for Home, since that's currently the only Switch game I have.

Ok this Mega Rayquaza fight in the DLC is RIDICULOUS. I've been at it for HOURS today and still haven't beaten it yet. I don't even want to know how many attempts it's been. Probably at least 20 attempts? I cannot for the life of me figure out how to dodge the Hyper Voice, which immediately makes me black out. That's been the reason why I've lost 90% of these attempts. And unlike the other rogue mega battles, there's no option to continue with the previous damage, so I have to start all the way from the beginning with the non mega Rayquaza. I've been yelling at my Switch a lot after losing so many times, so I'm sure I'll be feeling that in my throat tomorrow... I swear I've never gotten this heated at a Pokémon game in the nearly 15 years I've been playing Pokémon.

I got the shiny charm in Legends Z-A today! All those hyperspace missions that involve catching Pokémon really helped a lot with ranking up to get the shiny charm lol

Finally all caught up on my shiny book I've been neglecting since September of last year lol. I've found a surprising amount of Poison type shinies recently. All but 1 of the shinies that I've found in Legends Z-A have been Poison types, oddly enough
