@SkittishReflections I am so sorry to hear about your father. I can only imagine how tough it must've been for you. Losing a parent can be devastating. My prayers are with you and your family. May all the bright lights in the world find their way to you. 
            
            I checked out your website and it's so well put together! I've always been a fan of your artwork and the merch on there is so cool. It's a shame we don't have Amazon here coz I really had my sights on a couple of shirts haha. Hopefully, someday I get to travel. I'll be ordering a bunch of those :D
            
            You know, as a writer it's natural to want your work to be absolutely perfect in every which way. But readers probably don't even notice the tiny little minutiae that we as writers are fussing over. Unless there's a glaring hole in the plot or something (which, being familiar with your work, I highly doubt there is). That said, I really admire your dedication to your craft. It shines through in your work. 
            
            Thank you so much for all your kind words :) wishing you all the best for your novel. I know it's gonna be a masterpiece just like your last book (still can't get over The Hand in Mine!).

@Raf780 I saved them as drafts a few years ago, and all the comments vanished. Maybe I'll check again, hope they're back! My website is lmshayle.com. it isn't really getting much traffic due to me not posting it daily and engaging. I don't have the push right now.
            
            This year has been draining. I lost my father three months ago, it was so sudden and unexpected. A lot has changed since then, emotionally, mentally, physically. I'm navigating new territory while trying to maintain aspects of the old. Alongside my wonderful family, writing has been a constant haven.
            
            I'm trying to find time to finish my novel. I sent it to betas a few months ago and their feedback made me feel ready to query. But since then I've been finding issue after issue and now I'm wondering how did the betas miss all these? So, I'm re-editing it for the millionth time. Wish me luck! And I wish you all the best on your exams and endeavors : )
