Did you know that there's something more to people than what's on the outside?
They want you to see the outside because they've crafted it into something that has made you even look at them. They know that people are watching, and so they know that they have to look perfect.
If you actually looked at them for who they are and not what they look like, you'd find a story that they'd never show anyone else. You'd find a person who's a bit more broken than that smile on their face portrays.
Even if you think that people should just act as they are, did you ever stop to consider that you are not all you make yourself out to be? Have you ever considered that maybe people aren't always treated kindly for who they really are? Have you considered that maybe it was people like you that made them insecure in the first place?
Yes, they're imperfect. Aren't we all?
Yes, they're not showing you the truth. Don't we all hide a little bit?
No, they're not doing it because they love the tricking of others.
They do it because so many others have tricked them.
