If you are still curious on that topic, than I suggest you do an AU where America is the toxic comforter and Russia is the one who lashes out violently/suddenly but finds himself being calm with America. Russia would slowly grow more and more heavily dependent on America. While America knew having Russia in his hands would prove to be useful in the future. This AU would take place in high school. If you are interested, than I'd be willing to go into more detail.
